Company History
BRC Builders, Inc. was founded by Steve Kneipp. After earning a Bachelors degree in Finance from Baylor University, Steve spent several years in the construction industry in many different roles ranging from Superintendent to Land Developer to Chief Financial Officer. Steve decided to start BRC Builders based on the premise of developing a company truly committed to the satisfaction of the client. Believing that the true level of customer service diminishes as a construction company grows in size, it was the mission of Steve to grow BRC Builders only to the extent that he could remain personally involved in each project. This business model proved successful as BRC Builders has completed over seventy projects within its first five years in business and continues to succeed with repeat projects from highly satisfied clients despite tough economic times.
Jon Kilgore joined BRC Builders in early 2009 to assist in the BRC expansion of BRC Homes, Inc. and brought a wealth of home building knowledge, experience, as well as a dedication to the same client-centered business principles. As a private business owner since 2000 and a licensed contractor since 2005, Jon’s history of running his own construction company included completing several new builds and renovations, including a renovation in downtown Orlando that received four Aurora Awards.
It is Steve and Jon’s collective experience in the commercial and residential market paired with their steadfast dedication to each client that makes BRC Builders an easy company with which to work. With BRC Builders, a client is never overwhelmed by a complex organizational structure of contacts and will always speak directly to Steve and Jon throughout the course of the project. The client can always trust that BRC Builders has everything organized, delegated, and will take full responsibility from start to finish.
Lastly, BRC Builders remains diligent in maintaining the necessary level of education and expertise to provide the most comprehensive level of service to the client. This includes both Jon and Steve being certified LEED Accredited Professionals that allows us to confidently include, at the client’s request, viable Green resources to each project. The building market is evolving and BRC Builders maintains true to its principles to stay ahead of the pack.
