Safe Showers

When people build their own home, they want everything to be perfect and to be to their complete liking. People often choose every small thing to customize their new home, including the tiles, the wall colors, and the kitchen layout. One thing that people should also consider is the safety features in their custom homes.

There are many areas in which people can be aware of safety concerns. One such area is the shower. People spend a significant amount of time in the shower. The largest danger that people face in the shower is slipping. When they first step into the shower, they can slip on water from a previous shower. Or they may slip while in the act of showering. In other cases, they may slip when stepping out of the shower with wet feet.

To prevent these dangers, people can implement a number of things. They can purchase a shower that has slip guard/treatment, or they can put down an anti-slip bath mat. Outside of the shower, they can have textured flooring installed so that when they step out of the shower the friction between the textured shower and their feet will prevent them from slipping.
