Choosing a bathroom design for your home is not just a singular task. Many times, people have more than one restroom inside their houses, and so deciding on designs for all the bathrooms can be time-consuming. Since these areas are often much smaller than other spaces inside the home, fitting all the components of a functional bathroom plus all the features of the desired design into this small room can be a geometric challenge.

It is also advisable that you opt for a design that blends in well with the adjoining rooms or hallways of the house. Having an abrupt change in style once one enters the restroom can be a bit disorienting. Keep in mind that when the door is open, people in other areas of the home can see into the bathroom. Most people would prefer for this particular room to not stick out above the rest.

Finally, no matter what design you choose, bear in mind that lighting inside the bathroom should be more than adequate. There should at least be the option to light the space up well, especially around the mirrors. Lack of this component can detract from the functionality of a bathroom.
